"Idlestone"... at the beach!!  A vacation rental property in Lincoln City, Oregon!

Lincoln City is nestled between seven miles of sandy beaches and a 680 acre scenic lake on the central Oregon Coast. And while it's a charming resort town, it's also a paradise of beauty, history and adventure.

The Beach

Fly your own kite or watch the spectacular aerial displays of color and shape on the beach. Voted the "Kite Capital of the World", Lincoln City receives steady winds because of it's unique location on the 45th parallel.

Devils Lake:

Deep only in terms of historic folklore,  Devils Lake is 1/3 mile wide, 3 miles long, and reaches a depth of only 22 feet. Nine species of freshwater fish beckon the fisherman, while water sports such as windsurfing, water skiing, knee-boarding and jet skiing engage other sports enthusiasts. Flowing from Devils Lake is the "D" River, which holds the title of the "World's Shortest River". From its source at Devils Lake, the river reaches its destination of the Pacific in a mere 120 feet.

The Ocean:

The mighty Pacific Ocean greets the beach along seven spectacular miles in Lincoln City. The beauty and activities along the seashore change with the seasons, adding spice and variety. There are excellent locations for wave, whale, sunset and storm watching, and the beach is a treasure trove for collecting driftwood, agates, shells and floats, every day brings you a new surprise. Large rocks emerging from the sea create perfect pockets for tide pooling during low tides, and beach hiking, surfing, windsurfing and fishing challenge adventure seekers.

Golf:

Try the local golf courses for a smorgasbord of birdies, bogies and eagles.

Weather Watching:

For the weather enthusiast, one of the greatest Lincoln City thrills without the chills is watching a coastal storm become a bit wild from a cozy perch. Turbulent seas and howling winds set the sand and your imagination swirling as you peer into the eye of the storm. Storm watching is best during the winter months.

Shopping:

Art galleries, factory outlets, books, antiques, boutiques, and assorted unique items! Where to begin may be your toughest decision. Lincoln City... where shopping really is a day at the beach. Don't forget our enormous outlet mall! Also one of our favorites is "The Christmas Store" located at the south end of town, with many unique and collectible items for the holiday.

Deep Sea Fishing:

Just minutes south of Lincoln City is Depoe Bay. You can find many deep sea fishing excursions and whale watching charters that will take you out for a day on the Ocean. Dress appropriately and make sure you have your sea legs!

Hiking:

The Lincoln City area has some of the most amazing places to hike on the Oregon Coast! Starting with over seven miles of sandy beach, you will find lots of scenic trails that can challenge your skills, or just let you take a lazy stroll.

Skateboard Park:

Lincoln City has a spectacular skateboard park named one of the “gnarliest” parks in the United States. The 8,000 square foot facility in Kirtsis Park has more than 100 lines and a unique 9-foot bowl to challenge boarders of all levels.

The Cradle was added a few years ago and is one of only three of its kind in the world. It’s 8600 square feet (798 sq-m) including 5600 square feet (520 sq-m) under a roof! A third smaller bowl was opened next to the cradle in the spring of 2006.

Surfing:
Oregon beaches are well known for the great surfing holes located along the coast, with big waves and smooth sand it brings annual surf contests from Pacific City to Yachats. Some of the best places to surf on the coast are Lincoln City (Road's End), Pacific City (Cape Kiwanda), Depoe Bay (Otter Rock), Newport (South Beach State Park), Waldport (Alsea Bay) and Yachats (Alsea Bay)

Welcome to Lincoln City, where the beach is just the beginning!
